FREE TO SKI
FREESKI
The FreeSki line is based on a relaxed and fun, but high-quality activity. The aim of the line is to continue the characteristics of Finnish freeski skiing and to bring up skilled and original skiers. The focus of the activities is not only on the training, development and competition trips of competitive skiers, but also on getting to know the culture of the sport, its phenomena and different ways of pursuing a career with it. The FreeSki line will be coached by one of the most experienced freeski coaches in Finland, Otto “Kepe” Venäläinen. He is also a highly qualified sports coach (LitM).
In line with the strong autonomy of the sport, the skiers in the group have the opportunity to influence the activities of the line according to their own interests. The participants are therefore encouraged to be creative and open-minded in their activities, ranging from freeride to the production of media content. The Freeski line aims to work in close cooperation with the different lines of the Academy, which will also give the Freeski line the opportunity to participate in ski instructor courses and snow safety courses.
