Earn the reindeer

Alpine ski racing

One of the key principles guiding the training activities of the Alpine Ski Racing group is high quality. In the training of future elite ski racers, careful attention is paid even to the finest of details. The small and dynamic trainer team at the Academy will be able to guarantee personalized coaching in best conditions in Finland, close to other Finnish top ski areas.

Mr Jukka Leino, a former member of the Finnish National Alpine Ski Team, is in charge of coaching the Alpine Ski Racing Team, together with Mr Roope Kankaanmäki. Special attention is paid to monitoring, adjusting and reacting to the overall load on the athletes. We do our best to guide and support our young students in learning how to best succeed in combining studies with top-level sports training, while also giving guidance on how to manage the variables of everyday life and doing our best to help them become mature, self-determined and independent persons. After their studies at the Academy, our students will be able to continue their racing career towards the national team, and to strive for international success.

The top-notch training facilities in Levi include not only the World Cup ski slope but also other versatile options offered by the Levi World Cup Training Center. In lines with the Levi Snow Sport Academy slogan ”Earn the Reindeer” our goal is that one of our athletes will one day win the Levi Alpine Ski World Cup race and thus receive the winner’s price reindeer. What is requires is an uncompromising attitude, extensive know-how and versatile training, which is exactly what Levi Snow Sport Academy will be able to provide.
