EXPERTS ON SNOW
MULTISNOWSPORTS
The group name ‘MultiSnowsports’ (MoniTaito) derives from the fact that the training includes not only downhill snow sports but also cross-country skiing. Mr. Pertti ’Pepe’ Vanninen, a skilled snow sports professional, is in charge of leading the training activities of the MultiSnowsports group (MoniTaito). The goal of the training is to enable the students to learn as versatile all-round snow sports skills as possible. As a MultiSnowsport student you will be training with all kinds of snowsports equipment and learning the basic skills of these snowsports, which will give you the skills needed for working as a snowsports instructor. In addition, you will learn the basics of event production and related activities.
Learning will take place primarily through practical activities and having fun together. The on-snow training comprises learning new skills through modern, versatile and variable learning methods. The main goal is to inspire our students and to make them excited about snowsports and sharing the joy of snowsports. Levi offers the best conditions in Finland for teaching snowsports on the slopes, and the central location of Levi also allows you to get to know other ski areas in Lapland, Northern Sweden and Norway.
During the three years of study, you will gain sound basic knowledge and skills of the different snowsports and you will also complete the ski instructor level 1 training courses for alpine skiing and snowboarding, which are arranged in co-operation with FNASI, the Finnish National Association of Snowsport Instructors. You will also have the opportunity of attending a voluntary cross-country skiing training module by FNASI at your own expense.
The application for the MultiSnowsport group for the 2023-2024 season has closed, the application for the next academic year will open in autumn 2023.
